CDJ 2016 SC 451

Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 – Domestic Violence Act, 2005 – Amendment – Whether Court dealing with petition-complaint filed under provisions of the Act has power to allow amendment to petition-complaint originally filed -

Court Held – Reliefs that can be granted by final order or by interim order, have already been pointed out above wherein it is noticed that most of these reliefs are of civil nature – Amendment is rightly allowed by the Trial Court and there is no blemish in judgment of the High Court affirming order of the Trial Court – Appeal dismissed.
