In the light of the fact that there is a statutory appeal maintainable against the impugned order before the Appellate Tribunal under Section 16 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 as per the Division Bench judgment of this Court in the case of Paramjit Kaur Saroya vs. Union of India and another, 2014 AIR (Pb) 121, the present petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to avail of the said remedy.

In case the appeal is filed and a prayer is made for staying the impugned order, the said prayer shall be considered by the appellate authority and a speaking order passed thereon within a period of two days of such filing of the appeal.

Copy of the order be given dasti under signatures of the Bench Secretary of this Court.
