Kuppuswami Reddi and another v. Pavanambal AIR (37) 1950 Madras 728 wherein it is observed as follows: "Under O.23, R.3 of the Code compromise cannot be attacked by the allegations that it is a voidable compromise brought about by fraud, undue influence and duress. Provided the compromise is lawful, that is not contrary to law, the Court is obliged to record it
