(A)Evidence Act (1 of 1872), S.35 - Entries in revenue records - Do not convey or extinguish any
title - Widow mutated lands in favour of her adopted sons - Neither adopted sons would acquire
title nor widows title in the property would get extinguished - Since no title as such was passed
on under alleged 'mutation gift,' the limited right of widow in property would get enlarged on
coming into force of Hindu Succession Act, 1956 - Alienations made by her by way of gift cannot
be said to be without authority.
R.S.A. No. 25 of 1976, D/- 29-11-1983 (Punj and Har) Reversed.
